i suck man. like totally. everyweek, i seem to do lesser and lesser studying. last weekend i brought home a textbook and some tutorials.. although i didnt read much from the textbook.. i read 1 chapter and did my tutorials. this week... i brought home 1 textbook and 1 tutorial. sad to say... there are still in my bag now. zzz...ARGH!!! i wanna be mugger ben. no wait. super mugger ben. unfortunately.. i am still slacker ben. a leopard cant change its spots. =(

well. at least i had fun today. thanks guys. although it didnt start really well. reached harbourfront when they just left. so took the bus in. wah the bus really stank lor. cos there was some real run thing by new balance at sentosa in the morning. so everyone smelly and sticky took the bus out.. so the stench in the bus was horrendous. almost fainted!!! zzz. in the end, it was pretty worthwhile la. although now i'm red like a ...erm... red like a.. lobster? or zhong kui? lol.

tmr ntu half day! shiok! after meeting tey chino bing and yd long to study. hope i can get some serious studying going on. zzz

i hate cashcard parking!

ok before i explain why i think cash card parking sucks... a brief review of wad happen so far this week.

monday..after class went to nie basketball courts to play inter block games. supposed to be volleyball la.. but my team made up of me junming and 4 ah tiongs, cannot make it la. cos the a.ts dunno how to play one... so we lost in the 1st round.. 10-15... so nothing much else to do played bball with hall mates. got to know some new frens. in the end played like 2 hrs of basketball and 10 mins of volleyball. lol.

tuesday after lessons again rushed to nie for inter block games. basketball today. supposedly my team was me junming and 1 quite zai yr 2 guy. but the yr 2 guy pang seh. so we anyhow recruit 1 guy from our block. and he sucks la. cant run cant pass cant move cant shoot cant rebound cant mark cant defend. only can stand there. so it was like me and jm vs 3 quite gd a.ts... as everyone knows i am not very gd either la.. so we got whacked 11-2... at least i scored 1! lol! havent played basketball for so damn long haha. after that played with other hall mates again.. played until about 10... then junming and his og people decided to go out for supper...so...7 pple squeezed into 1 car and went for supper.. being big size i got the priviledge of sitting in front! lol. quite a nice bunch of pple full of crap tokking... after supper went back hall...then at 230 am went to some guy's room to drink wine. mad la they all.. tok cock sing song until 330 then went back room sleep. think we mad. cos next day 830 lesson.

today.. nothing much. just came back from bowling training. quite fun today cos it was like kind of orientation fun bowl. i bowled quite well in the 1st game... managed 188(125 for last 5 frames)!! then after that.. felt the pain in the shoulder again. and they were giving prizes for 1st person to hit pin 7 or pin 10 only, hit split, hit 9 pins left pin 5 or pin 10...so didnt bowl very well.. 127 and 133.. but overall quite satisfied.. cos the first game had feeling 4 frames in a row.

then after training decided to give melissa ho a ride home... was in the carpark... then exiting.. had the cashcard barrier.. so i insert my cashcard.. and wait for the thing to deduct money and open barrier... wait until it seemed too long... then felt maybe i drive too close to the barrier.. so i reverse a bit.. but still nothing happen... then i saw the slot for the autopass.. so i tried to put my cashcard inside... but cannot read.. until jorwe behind horn.. lol! then i shout that the thing cannot read.. crap! then move back and nearer the reader... nothing happen!! zzz... then the intercom come on..

argh. i feel old. remember last time i blogged about feeling extremely exhausted and muscles aching etc after playing floorball? after last week's 8 game bowling session... i started feeling a strain in my shoulder on friday. felt it was a muscle or something.. didnt really bother about it..

next day, sat, day of the union bowl. shoulder felt ok at first.. but after a few frames.. there was this sharp pain the shoulder. argh. no choice just continued lor. just tried not to exert the shoulder too much.. of cos it doesnt work. bo bian just bared with it. felt like quitting. haha. but already paid. played until the pain was numb! lol. then after a while it came back again. today still can feel the pain. shucks i think i am old.

previously i mentioned that ben the spinner was back. i'm sorry but that is entirely not true. yesterdae's union bowl, there was no feeling in the spin at all. only a few times got some feeling. thats outta 6 games about 5 shots? lol! pretty low percentage. for me, spin is all about feeling. no feeling no hope one. lol! cos personally i feel that my spin must have the right mix of strength and flow(pendulum swing, hand turn, follow through etc). unfortunately i just cant get it right. argh!

haiz. hope my shoulder gets better soon, then i can go find the spinning feeling again. haha..

i'm actually blogging the 2nd time today.think tis is the first time i ever done so. so for those of u who havent read the previous post, it's at the bottom of this post.

basically this entry is all complaining about sch.

i was trying to do my electronic circuits tutorial... after 2 hours... i couldnt solve any of the 6 questions. drats. the lecture notes didnt help. argh. i need my textbook, unfortunately its in hostel. i think i really need to do some catching up.

right now... actually i'm reading through my programming notes. looks ok... then i looked at the tutorial questions. *almost faint* very very chim! die.

i seriously need to catch up with my school work. not to mention, there's a bloody assignment about communication 800-1000 words essay! madness! due next month but i better get my ass to do it soon if not i will never complete it.

only 4 weeks into uni, and i am already lagging. sucks man. better start mugging liao. no more playing around. no more fun. argh.

argh actually i suppose to be studying.. but i do until sian cos i am going nowhere. haha. so i tot ok i would just come and update...

life is a path of crossroads.. everyday we make decision that may change our lives. slightly more than 3 yrs ago.. i made the life-changing decision to .... change to a hook bowler... unfortunately.. it was not an easy switch from being a spin bowler. coupled with the fact that i neither trained very frequently nor had the resources to.. i must admit i havent gotten very far in my pursuit of hook mastery(lol.) playing the heavy ball has been an enjoyable experience. the satisfaction that comes with the ball changing direction to enter the pocket, the relief when the ball stays on the brink of the lane to hit the 10th pin, the immense power of the heavy ball, all this and all has ended a new dimension to my game.

today. i made another momentous decision. i took out my spinner ball and went to the bowing alley. for the first 2 games.. i bowled without feeling.. my games was weak, with not much pin action and the ball went all over the place. then.. in the 3rd game.. some feeling returned... i began hitting the pins harder and harder. by the 5th game, it was like i never stopped spinning, albeit some inconsistency and screwed up shots. i couldnt stop. i continued with 3 more games.. hitting the day's high scores of 166 and 169. not bad considering my shots were still inconsistent and i havent bowled spinner for like 3 yrs. i started only wanting to play 5 games. but i just couldnt stop. if i was playing with the heavy ball i know i would have stopped by 5 games. also, i hit 4-5 strikes a game and 2 turkeys overall, seldom do i hit so many playing hook. unfortunately, i hit quite a no. of splits and split conversion(even the small ones like 3,10) was zero. overall, i was quite pleased with the result of my bowling session today. although i dun think the revolution of the bowling ball is up to that of 3 yrs ago, at least, the impact at the pin deck was 80% back.

so for now, goodbye ben the heavy ball bowler. welcome back ben the spinner. i hope i have made the right decision.

why is it everytime i watch the apprentice there's always some idiot doing stupid things which cause themselves to be given the boot? just watched the last part of the apprentice on ch 5 ... as i was just watching the last part.. i cant really decide who should be kicked off la.. the project manager, bren, brought stephanie and michael into the boardroom with him... then trump asked him who he would fire.. he said stephanie and began arguing with stephanie about wad she should or should not have done... then this other guy michael.. decides to step in defend stephanie! crazy super kaypoh! none of his business at all lor... of cos trump fired him immediately without giving him a chance to explain haha.. he deserved it.. com'on instead of adding fuel to the fire he try to remove fuel from the fire?? crazy!

hm lets see wad i did the last few days.. thursday went bowling with aaron jack florence and jascelyn... jasc said i should change to spinner..hm...then dinner at imm.. cards at jasc's and supper near harn's place! think we were mad! eating supper so soon after dinner lol... but enjoyed talking with the gang again.. friday... nothing much..

sat.. met aaron harn and liang for dinner... had dessert first at swensen's then dinner at fish n co. lol. halfway through dinner.. harn left.. to watch movie with some guy.. basket... pang seh us. HARN IS BECOMIN THE NEW JACK! or maybe she is just the female version of jack. lol.. liang also said i should change to spinner.. lol.. so i decided to try it next week.. haha. kinda missed the pins exploding when my ball hits the pins. dun think there's a similar effect with my hook.

that's all for last week. zzz. oh.. now to recollect my experience of driving around for 2 days. lol. thursday morning.. drove to sch from home..left at 730 reached at about 835? 1 hr! freaking slow traffic.. considering i only took like 30 mins or less when i drove there the other time.. also a lot of idiot drivers on the road.. lol. rule no. 1 when driving.. everyone else is an idiot. lol. the moment reached hostel.. had to ferry junming to can b there cos he sprained his ankle and wanted to go medical centre.. lol. decided to park at sch of humanities there since i tot i could collect my laptop later.. zzz. later in the day drove to work and bowling.. lol. quite convenient having a car.. but got to keep track of time cos park at a per hour place.. haha. later drove to dinner and jasc's place.. race harn to her place.. but wasnt familiar with the road.. haha. quite funny. ... send jasc home and back to hostel! some idiot were walking in the middle of the road at nanyang crescent.. lucky i saw them early.. flicked headlights at them... friday.. drove to
sch of comp eng.. then drove home.... evening drove to junming's place for mahjong.. and then sent michelle and her bf home after that and home again at 4 am!

having a car is convenient to get around.. i think i drove like 250 km. more than the last 3 mths add up. haha. of cos... there are problems.. like traffic jam.. idiot drivers.. no carpark.. and also patrol is really ex... i use like 2/5 of the tank.. lol!!

okie will try to update again soon.. ah pek stop complaining!

yeap! here i am updating in midweek... supposed to be sleeping but oh well... i will just update a bit before going to lala land.

feeling really frustrated? dunno if its the right word.. crap. i dun noe how to describe my feelings.. why frustrated? look at the 4d 1st prize...6067.. familiar? yeah.. my handphone last 4 digits is 6066. crap!!! i noe miss 1 no. is also miss.. miss 4 no. oso miss.. but i'm entitled to feel a bit aggrieved at least!!!! hm.. other then that... nothing much happen this 3 days.. lol.. school sucks as usual.. seems that i have a problem reaching school on time for 830 lessons.. today was the second time i was late for a 830 lesson liao, both times when i went school from home. but cant blame me wad!! the queue for bus is super long lor.. more than 100 metres leh! madness.. seems like sbs aint doing much about it other then increasing the frequency of the bus.. wad i think should be done is provide bus services from other interchange that also go to ntu... these bus may just operate at peak hours in the morning if need be lor. that will surely cut the human queues at boon lay!

another comment... yesterdae.. was at plaza singapura bright and early.. before the watson's was opened.. already got a long queue outside it!! apparently its for some goodie bag! didnt really bother about the queue since i wasnt interested anyway... was walking around... when i came back to the watsons again later... wow! the shutters were only half opened.. but.. everyone had already wiped out the free goodie bags... and in the process of rushing into the stall... (i presume) they had knocked over 1 of those shelfs where watsons display goods on discount, u noe the circular type? lol. so kiasu!

just another tot which comes into my head... u noe when we sit train or bus... then some pple come on but no seats? sometimes we give way to pple who need those seats more than we do right? well, there was one time i was on the NEL.. so i was seatted... then at 1 stop i think was chinatown, this indian family came on to the train la.. unfortunately only got 3 seats so the father had to stand, while the rest sat next to me. didnt really bother to give up my seat cos the father was like 40+ not say very needy of a seat. then at dolby ghaut.. this elderly lady came on to the train. as the train pulled out of the station i signalled to the old lady to take my seat.. then stood up as she was walking towards the seat. the moment i was out of my seat, the indian girl next to me dumped her plastic bags on the seat to kinda "chope" the seat for her father.. the nerve! at this moment i was truly stunned and could only stare at her hoping i could bore holes in her head. lol. then the old lady came over and said "actually this seat for me" then i think the girl understood and grudgingly took away her plastic bags. duh! anyway, this leads to another question which i have seen in TODAY newspaper, when do we give up seats? dunno why it always seem like i am the one giving up my seat. loL! sometimes.. when we r really tired... legs cannot stand liao.. but an elderly person come and got no seats how? lol. kinda dilemma right? pretend to sleep? haha.

hm tmr only got 1 lesson... but i think i better go sleep liao... oh... tmr my father go fishing in msia.. so i got car! yeah~ hahaaaa...

hiya! back to update my blog again...

hm sch so far has been so so... some modules ok some modules seem very chim! zzzz. and of cos some are boring! urgh...

here's the lowdown on the modules so far...

electronics... lectures been pretty boring! lecturer is slow and talk a lot of cock. waste a lot of time... and he's not very clear in wad he tries to explains.. not to mention there has been a lot of cock ups in lecture... projector spoil... laptop cannot connect... zzz. also the lecture theatre sucks la.. sit too far back cannot see.. summore the tables not steady one. u tip it over a bit the whole table close. zzz. tutorials.. hm so far ok. manage to do the questions cos mostly physics got learn before... and surprisingly the lecturer was not a bad tutor. but he only cover for my own tutor who's away.

programming... lecturer is pretty amusing... likes to use himself as examples in the lectures. hm... the topic hasntbeen very hard to understand... but... the tutorials were amazingly cheem! wah.. cannot tahan ah... must go read the textbook!!!!

maths 1 ... the lecturer sucks la. he max can only can speak 5-6 words in a sentence.. lol. sucks la.. but luckily the topics have been pretty easy to understand so far.. tutorials wise... 1st tutorial... wah realised i forgot a lot of stuff like inequalities liao. crap! 2nd tutorial... not bad i managed to do 6 outta7 7 questions! yeah~ but dunno whether methods right anot... tmr i shall know.. haha... oh tutor is russian by the way.. but luckily his accent not too bad. can understand....

effective communication... lecture been pretty easy to understand... basically cos i dun think there's much to know.. haha.. quite a rubbish subject... had tutorial ... which was to me a complete waste of time la... but basket... 1st tutorial walk in only... kena quiz liao... not too bad though manage 16 outta 22.. ok to me it is not bad la.. haha... but then... i dun think anyone could have got all right... eg... wad's the correct response to "how do you do?" the ans.... "how do you do?" amazed? according to lecturer its a kinda expression like hello. zzzz...

econs... lectures... super boring.. maybe cos i took econs in jc... but i think the lecturer played a part also... he's like pretty arrogant.. lol! had 2 lectures of 2 hours so far... havent finished either of them! left both after 1 hour!!! tutorials... hm.. tutor is this young china woman (about 25?).. the ah tiongs had a field day communicating with her man... while poor me was busy trying to decipher wad she was saying. anyway the 1 hr class was acutally finished in 35 mins...but some idiot acting smart ask dumb questions basket. waste my time. in the end the tutorial ended at 620pm!!!(yes it started at 530 its my latest class)

made a couple of new frens.. there's this guy who is a fren of one of my bmt platoon mates.. now we go lecture together.. not so bad lor. got lecture and tutorial kaki. not much other pple of note. lol!

outside class... hm... monday went to work.. worked til 11+!! lucky the exec give me a lift back in the cab! lol. tuesday... work again... then went to meet harn aaron and jasc for supper. hm quite nice to sit down and tok about anything under the sun.. or under the moon for that matter.. we even had an indepth discussion about traffic accidents! ..and... voila.. next morning i was the eye witness of a traffic accident!

well it happened like dat. it was about 820 la. i was at the bus stop near my hostel waiting for the shuttle bus.. then of cos there were alot of pple there too.. service 199 came... then opposite the road.. the shuttle bus for the other direction came la.. so this groups of students ran across the road and were at the other bus stop... then. this prc fella.. decide he wanted to get on that shuttle bus opposite the road also. so.. keeping his eyes on the shuttle bus... he ran in front of the 199.. suddenly... there was a loud *beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeppppppppppppppp* and the screechin sound of brakes.. next i know the china idiot was hit by a grey mazda which had appeared from next to the bus.. he was basically swept off the ground.. and on to the bonnet of the car. luckily, the car was quite slow and managed to brake in time so he didnt suffer any injuries! ony that his shoe flew off lor. wah... i still can recall the whole incident in slow motion lor.. creepy. why rush lor.. at most late only wad.. better late than never? anyway.. wonder if its a problem with the prc. can study but dun even know how to cross the road??? lol!!

wed went for rekreate handball.. met some old friends there.. had fun playing around and playing games also... there were 2 ang mohs that were really good.. towards the end of the seesion... was playing a game when i suddenly felt short of breath and also had blurred vision.. was almost seeing double... crap. dunno why also! zzz... afgter the handball... dragged myself back to hostel.. rested for pretty long before deciding to go supper with daphne and aaron... thanks daphne for fetching me to and from supper!

thursday... after class went to acorn then to harbourfront to do street surveys... met some nice pple there who helped me with my surveys.. lol! thanks!

friday... was contemplating whether to go handball.. or work... in the end... was too lazy didnt go for either!!! lol!

sat... spent most of the day waiting for mobilisation... until late afternoon when harn said go sentosa.. so went sentosa with harn and liang to play cards.. lol. i'm not a cheat!!!!! i just happened to forgot to take an extra card.. then i got penalised and demoted 2 ranks. zzz. but at the end of the day... i was not the asshole! and thats wad matters!!! =P asshole!

sunday.. hm more of the same wait for mobilisation but there was none once again.. lol

hm... beem receivin feedback on my blog recently... 1stly... once a week is too little.. 2ndly.. blog entries are too long.. thirdly... my blog layout sucks! here's wad i'm gonna do about it... for the first one.. i will try to update more often... at least twice per week starting next week.. then when i update more often its likely the entries become shorter.. lol. but seriously think i should blog more regularly la.. if not by the time sunday comes.. i already forgot wad i was thinkin during the week... also the news become old news..(eg the car accident)... for the 3rd complaint.. i will see wad i can do about that... sometime soon! haha..

1)they emit a foul odour
2)their rooms stink...hm... either their odour get stuck in the room... or they get the odour from the room.. sounds like which came first the chicken or the egg?
3)their rooms are so messy and untidy and cramped full of things.. i think a karung guni store would be neater!
4)they wear the college of engineering polo t
5)they wear checked shirts which look suspiciously like the table cloth ur mom uses on the dining room table.
6)they wear weird stuff to lectures..eg...sports attire(i mean like football jersey with football shorts?)
7)they wear the same shirt today, yeterdae, the day before, the day before the day before...heck u dun even recall them wearing something else
8)the unmistakeable thick china accent
9)they wear spectacles with big and thick lenses
10)they cross the road withtheir eyes affixed on something else and not looking out for cars..............
